Introduction
Most of us learned to lead in times where the outcomes we needed to deliver were clear and answers for how to progress work were either readily available or knowable from within our areas of expertise. In those more stable times, our skills, experiences, and ways of working fostered confidence and success for us, our teams, and our organisations. Yet, the complex and rapidly changing world we live in today continues to bring forward novel challenges which feel unfamiliar to us and demand us to update, again and again, how we lead ourselves and our organisations.
Given these volatile times, some questions arising for leaders today include, how do we:
- lead our teams when business and economic conditions remain unclear?
- work with our clients in ways which continue to grow relationships and business outcomes when we both face uncertainties?
- do our jobs well and also be the kind of friend/child/sibling/parent we want to be?
What we will focus on
The LeadingManaging in Continuous Change (LiCC) workshop is designed to help you better navigate and lead yourself and your teams in uncertain times. LiCC is purposefully action oriented to ensure your thinking and learning generates better outcomes for you, your team, and your business. LiCC, will build your toolkit for managing continuous change by:
- Introducing tools that are practical and immediately applicable back at work to help leaders
- re-orient and adapt with more ease and confidence in continuous change
- learn and practice communication skills for transparency and mutual learning
- Having you bring your most current work challenges as the basis for our learning
- Learning in public: practising new leadership moves with each other in a safe environment so we can all be “messy” and try things out
- Creating a network of peer connection and support.
