When was the last time you felt well-resourced to deal with the challenges you face as a leader?  Most of us have learned to lead in an environment that assumes an “answer” exists and we just need to find it. But what about questions that don’t have a simple answer like:

  • How do I inspire my team to perform at higher levels while also maintaining spend?
  • How do we make hybrid work “work”?
  • How do we both deliver on today’s promises to customers and be relevant to tomorrow’s customers?
  • How do we make a more human workplace?

When there is no simple answer, we need to turn toward ways of thinking that can have us hold “both and” thinking rather than “either or”. We need to understand the nature of the challenge we are dealing with, with more sophistication, and apply tools fit for purpose. Not all the tools we trained in as leaders are fit for the type of complex challenges we face today.

There are frameworks however that can transform our relationship to questions that don’t have simple answers. These are ways of thinking we will need more and more of to lead in organisations of the future.
